Section #1 - Three Days At Gettysburg
Chapter 26: Day Two: Noon–4:00 PM
What follows is a long delay until Evander Law’s Division arrives around 12:00 and Longstreet begins his circuitous 6 mile march south.
In order to remain concealed from the enemy, the trip involves a series of forward and backward movements. At the typical marching speed of 2 and ½ miles per hour, the troops should arrive around 2:45PM, but it is actually 4:00PM when they appear.
