This is a postcard produced around 1905 in Ashville, North Carolina, which purports to capture an extended family of some 16 Blacks celebrating Thanksgiving Day. In addition to showing the clothing worn at the time, it also reveals a typical dwelling with log walls and wooden roof shingles.
